The Moderate Party of RI will be placing radio ads in most
market segments over the next two weeks to publicize our
cause.

Some background for our radio ad regarding the 'You must
walk before you can run' statement:
In multiple filings pertaining to the MPRI ballot access
lawsuit, the Attorney General's office has made a theme out of
defending Rhode Island's worst in the nation ballot access
laws with the statement: "A new political organization must learn to
walk before it runs." This patronizing and malignantly
paternalistic statement is used in an attempt to rationalize
handicapping a new political party by denying it party status until
well into the election year. Rhode Island's ballot access laws
should never act to handicap an individual or party from being able
to compete on level playing field with other candidates or
parties.
We need additional funds to help keep our message out
in front of the voters of Rhode Island. If you can,
please consider making a donation to the Moderate Party of RI
Political Action Committee to support this effort:
More to come soon. |
